Cosmic Wanderer

Heavenly denizen of the abyss

Eternally swimming and searching for bliss

His lips her lips solar eclipse

Endlessly seeking that sweeter kiss

She deserted her inscrutable, wild home in the seas

In search of euphoria and new bearings

She’s wet and delicate, a reminder of blight

Wanders in woods unafraid of the night

Shed her scales and draped in sheer silk

Pressed cooly to her like skin of white milk

She whimpers and trips over roots and harsh ground

Unseeing and unknowing of what lingers around

Floor illuminated by stars like candles In the sky

Lights swaying like tails, warped and wry

She prays for reprieve, her heart on the prize

Always missing the feat with her eyes in the sky

Dearest fool, prisoner of love

Dwelling low in the shallows, yet left her heart far above
