Conquered

The smoke still rises in aftermath

The dust still settling slow

From dusk 'til dawn

I'm moving on

You bring peace wherever you go

The fires cooling in my chest

Though my heart's still blazing bright

Bursting in flames

When he utters my name

You bring force to my relentless fight

I've put down the sword, strung up the ammo

Not for a reason except that I can

Knowing whenever we kiss

Amazed by the course my battle has taken
