"The Alchemist"

A thin spreading sheet of ice, an encasing
A hollowed heart that was his for the taking
Thawing qualms and burning resolve
A heavy heart melts and then it dissolves
Softening hindrances as lips feel to skin
Smouldering intentions like my eyes on him
Desire and matter that make up our minds
Our hearts dissolve as our souls intertwine
Reducing our senses like the Alchemist might
Our truest form revealed as we part into light
A brightest night’s spectrum of alloys and gold
I melt at the sight and it takes me back home
Brilliant lights as we dissolve and let go
The Alchemist's wish, we died and came home.
