It’s been a while
A while or two
A long time coming
So I’ll write one for you
Two moons at your face
Full and bright
Mud at their core
Sinking into the night
Is it dark where you are?
I’m sure that it’s not.
I wear your sweater sometimes
Because it’s all that I’ve got.
Your scent long passed
Though the memory lives on.
Two bright lights still remain
But the rest is gone.
It haunts me, that day.
I still cry in my sleep.
A forever pang
That still stings me so deep.
Where are you right now?
I know you can hear.
I miss you so much,
I hope you’re at peace up there.
Though with all that has passed,
I can never forget.
The two moons at your face,
Those I can never forget.
Big brown eyes,
Full of life and of pain.
I hold tight onto hope
One day I will see them again.
